Mandhana was two years old when her family moved to Madhavnagar, a suburb of the Sangli in Maharastra. Her father also used to play cricket at the district level for Sangli, as did her brother Shravan. As per reports her bother Shravan is now a bank manager.

    Her first career breakthrough came in October 2013. After she became the first Indian Woman to score a double hundred in a one-day game.
